The start of the flock - 1962. 9 ewes and lambs purchased from Lord Brockets flock. They are pictured in a field at Syers Croft opposite the family home of Highmead, Clehonger. The field is now a housing estate.

Size matters or all good things come in little packages? Not the biggest ewe but one of our favourites; Cagedale X13 (b2000, sire Keepings Savvas) She has over the last 4 consecutive years given birth to 4 single ewe lambs each bigger than her (although this years lamb isn't quite there yet!). 2 have been show sheep and all now form part of our breeding flock. They are pictured below to let you make up your own mind.

A Champion and a mother to champions - Cagedale A4 (sire Pembroke Ted) she was undefeated as a show lamb and yearling has produced 2 show lambs herself: Cagedale F2 (sire Pembroke Caradog) and Cagedale Hero (sire Keepings Constantinou). They have made 10 major show appearances between them achieving 6 firsts and 4 seconds never coming below 2nd.

8th February 2007, the first snow of the winter. Ewes and lambs pictured 'enjoying' the snow at Shepherds Meadow.

Devon County Show, Exeter 17th May, 2007. 1) The sheep in their stalls on the lines, 2) Kesteven Fanjo - Breed supreme Champion, 3) Cagedale Joshua - 2nd in Ram lamb class, 4) Judging

Kesteven Fanjo:- Ryeland breed supreme champion at the Devon County Show, May 2007. Also Primitive and rare breeds Supreme Champion and 3rd in the Inter-breed championship.

The Royal Show 2008. From left to right:- 1) Bob with our Ewe lamb Cagedale K13 which was Female Champion, being awarded the prize by the Judge for the day and one of the most senior and respected figures in the society, Bob Webb, 2) Ed, Robin & Bob -1st in the Group of three class, 3) Robin with Cagedale King, 1st in the Ram lamb with the backroom staff in the background, 4) Our 2 lambs Cagedale King and Cagedale K13 in their pen after being first in their respective categories.
